Things got pretty hairy here. We eventually had to back down. There was a small detour that we missed 50 yards back which got us around this. In this part of the trip, the road did this branch and merge thing a lot. At one point, one of these branch/merge thingshad convinced us that, two hours into this we had reached a dead end. After a brief but intense episode of dispair, we found the road forward.
